A Brooklyn buzz echoes through downtown Morgantown. Bilal Adams learned barbering in New York, then carried that craft to West Virginia, where Classic Cutz became one of the town’s few Black-owned businesses. Inside, edges soften, and the shared desire to present well is duly met. Students, locals, and families return across generations, drawn by care and belonging. This work—a long-term book project—follows how a person becomes a community, one cut at a time.
NOTE: Each size is released in a limited edition and includes a digital Certificate of Authenticity issued to the purchaser. The COA is emailed after delivery is confirmed (typically within 3–5 business days). Printed and fulfilled by Darkroom — from the artist’s master file — on archival fine art paper. Available in 10×15, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30, and 24×36 (framed or unframed).
